Motor Cycle Hint
WHEN a motor cycle cylinder is removed it is n wise precaution to protect the crankcase from dirt. The method followed by the .owner of a small single-cylinder machine is worthy of note. A dummy cylinder was fashioned from cardboard and attached to the mouth of the crankcase in such a way that its flanges fitted tightly, there was no risk of /lift penetrating, and the loose connecting rod’ was supported by the sides of the cover so that it could not strike the edge of the crankcase in the event of the crankshaft being accidentally turned.
