INCREASE IN REVENUE EXPENDITURE LOWER . (Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this da’}'. The Unemployment financial statement for the three months ot' the current financial year indicates that the emergency tax is producing far more than the board is spending. The emergency tax receipts, for this period were £1,389,071, showing an increase over the corresponding period of last year of £432,07.1, while the board’s gross revenue shows an improvement in this period of £194,233, the total for, the three months being £1,502,137; in addition to cash balances of, £021,517.
The expenditure in the last throe months amounted to £548,907, which is £.lO-2,545 less than in the corresponding quarter of 1933.
