INROADS ON FORTUNES DWINDLING ESTATES LONDON, Aug. 1. How estate -duties have , reduced fortunes is shown by' the will of the second Viscount CowdrayU The first Viscount Cowdray left £4,000,000, on which a death duty of £1,600,000 was paid. The widow left £1,407,000. on which there was a duty of £600,000.. The second Viscount Cowdray left £475,415, on which duty of £25),660 was paid. Thus the family estate made three heavy contributions to the Exchequer in six years. \
