Herr Hitler, accompanied by tho Secretary of State, Herr Meissner, immediately on arrival at Neudeck entered the. sick room and conveyed their own and Germany's hopes for the President’s recovery, and talked privately for nearly an hour.
ItoiT Hitler then returned to Berlin, where he stated Marshal von tlindenluirg recognised him, and acknowledged the nation's hopes with a warm handshake. Herr Hitler thorealTer summoned the Cabinet, to discuss constitutional issues.
The estate is closely guarded and only official telephone calls permitted, but constant bulletins, regarded as trustworthy, keep the nation advised of the President’s condition.
It is understood that Dr. Dumke, president of the Supreme. Court, will act as President, after Marshal von Ilindenbnrg’s death until a successor is appointed. The President had a serious turn at 4 o'clock this afternoon. It transpires that his complaint has been acute for seven months, but the old soldier refused to take to bed. Even Herr Hitler was not aware of the seriousness of the illness.
