Many motor cars, in Gisborne at pro- j sent are hearing yellow slickers to show j that the traffic inspectors arc satisfied 1 that the brakes and lights comply with the regulations. Gars were being slopped yesterday and to-day, and where certificates from garages were presented j by the drivers in regard to the brakes ' and lights, yellow stickers were gummed to the windshields so that the same cars need not he slopped again during the campaign. As a result of the inspections, garages are being kept busy inspecting and adjusting brakes, and in several cases the staffs are fully occupied with this phase of work. '
