TRADE IN BRITAIN
ENCOURAGING REVIEW WORLD DIFFICULTIES (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) LONDON, August 1. The Federation of British Industries business forecast for the third quartei of 1934 says it is becoming increasingly clear that British trade, is already back to normal, having regard to the limitations of the international situation. This is showing few signs of improvement, and in some directions has deteriorated. Apart from social and political unrest, certain countries are still on the operative gold standard, giving cause Jor anxiety. Though many look to an autumn revival in tho United States there are no grounds, apart, from an increase in State-promised schemes of work, for anticipating a marked speed-ing-up in placing orders.
