INCREASE IN WAGES
DRAINAGE BOARD MOVE (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, tins day. The Christchurch Drainage Board last night decided to restore, in part, the cuts on salaries and wages by increasing all salaries and wages paid to the regular. staff by 5 per cent. The extra cost to the whole drainage district will be £BOO a year. RESTORATION OF CUT (Per Press Association.) BLENHEIM, Ibis day. The Marlborough Power Board, by six votes to one, decided yesterday to restore the whole of the 10 per cent, cut imposed on wages and salaries in 1931.
