Park to the Auckland Town Hall on Saturday morning, as a protest against the. existing working and social conditions for relief-workers, the purpose of the demonstration, to meet the Mayor, Mr. G. W. Hutchison, was not. achieved. When they heard that neither the Mayor nor the deputy-Mayor was available, the unemployed proceeded to St. Matthew's Church Hall.
