Won by live lengths, aitili the samp distance between the second and third horses Th^-Grand National was a magnificebt race. Dokmeige was prominent throughout and led to the first fence. He was joined the second time round by Golden .Miller and Forbra, with Thomoud II just behind. These horses jumped the last eight fences together. challenged, but failed to stay, and Forbra dropped back. Golden Miller staved off a great challenge.
