EARLY NEGOTIATIONS
BRITAIN AND FRANCE NEW TRADE AGREEMENT (British Official Wireless.) Rec. 10 a.m. RUGBY, Feb. 2 A. It is anticipated that the announcement of the opening of negotiations for a new commercial agreement between Britain and France will be made next week.
Confirmation was given in Paris yesterday that the suggested further 10 per cent, cut in the quota of British coal entering France would not now be imposed. It was stated to-day that further communications arc passing between the British and French 'Governments in regard to the prospects of an early opening of negotiations.
