Ratana’s grain-growing enterprises continue with a marked degree of succss, and at the present time areas of the golden wheat may be seen in stook, while other crops are in the ripening stage (states a Wanganui paper). It is remarkable how the soil has stood up .to the successive cropping of wheat. It is true that the wheat is much shorter in the stalk than it was a few seasons ago, but at the same time it is well eared. The farm is well supplied with equipment, and there is also a large workshop in which running repairs are carried out to the farm implements.
