DROWNED IN RIVER

TARANAKI*" FARMER \S DEATH A well-known farmer, Mr C. Frank Mundt, Leppcr road, Kaimiro, was i found drowned in the Waiongona River 1 at Waiongona at 3.30 p.m. on Wednesday. He had to cross the Waio-j 1 ngona, which was -about 4ft. above - normal, on a narrow plank with a wire support. The plank Mr Mundt had to. cross ’ w,as very slippery. Anyone using it r could easily lose his .balance and. fall • into the river, where, because of./the , strong current, he would have little ! hope of reaching the bank.
