The owner of the car received a mysterious telephone call at his ofliee on Tuesday. He was told that if he took £SO to a lonely spot in Royal Park, the car would he returned to him. The spot was described, and the ear owner was informed that it would be useless to toll the police, as, if he were followed, or accompanied, to the park by anyone, no one would meet him. ' He would be watched from the time he left his office. To signify his acquiescence, in the plan he was directed to insert a message in a newspaper, lie did so, and at 2.30 p.m, yesterday he went, to Royal Park with ‘£so, which he paid to five men.
