FLOGGING ORDERED
ROBBERY WITH VIOLENCE MAN THANKS JUDGE (Received December 6, noon.) MELBOURNE, Dec. 6. In the general sessions, Richard Buries, 24, was sentenced to imprisonment for five years on a charge of robbery with violence, and was also ordered 12 strokes of the cat~o’-nine tails.
When he heard that he was to receive a flogging, the prisoner said to Judge Woinarski: “Thank you very much, Your Honor.”
