U.S. GRAIN OPERATORS DISCLOSURES IN REPORT WASHINGTON, Dec. 3. An investigation of the collapse of the grain market last July published to-day, revealed that on June 30 at least 74 per cent, of the traders in wheat and corn futures on the Chicago Board of Trade were speculators. .Of 9000 odd traders operating at that time considerably more than half were on the short side of the market, six unnamed operators being short to the extent of 19,710.000 bushels. The report mentioned that a number of trading practices were presumably responsible for the sharp price ot _ the decline at that time, and it is believed there will bo an attempt to rectify them in further negotiations on the grain code.
