DOMAIN TRACK MEETING FINAL ARRANGEMENTS Final arrangements for the sports meeting to be held at the Victoria Domain on Thursday afternoon to mark the opening of the new track were made at the weeldy meeting of the Poverty Bay Professional Athletic and Cycling Club, held last evening. Mr. 13. Sharpies presided, and there were present also Messrs. N. Pilcher, VV. McDonald, C. Bone, 11. Miller, R. Gritton, L. Davy, J. Sutton, W. Watts, F. Morgan, V. Venables, and E. Hamilton, honorary secretary. It was decided to accept post entries up to one hour prior to any race. A nomination was received from Mr. “Con Fident.’’ of Motu, who intimated that he would endeavor to break “his own world’s record' 1 for one mile on an eccentric cycle. Working bees were formed to finalise track arrangements, and it was decided to request all officials to be .on the ground at 6.30 p.m. to-morrow It was arranged that the dancing section of the club should present six different dances during the programme. It was resolved to engage Mrs. Menzies’ orchestra for the dance in the evening, and that the club should provide its usual popular home-made supper. Mrs. Brown was admitted as a member of the club.
