ANOTHER CONFESSION
WYNEKOOP MURDER POLICE IN QUANDARY CHICAGO, Nov. 25. The Wynekoop case look nil extra ordinary turn to-day, when Earl Wynekoop, husband of the murdered woman, completely repudiated his mother’s confession and insisted that he alone committed the murder. lie was removed to gaol and charged with the murder, but the police are unable to substantiate his confession. Police officers are of opinion that this astounding situation is the result of unusual affection between mother and son, with each trying to protect the, other, and the officers have great difficulty in determining .which is telling the. truth, if either, or both. Wynekoop and his mother are held without bail.
In a subsequent effort to prove to the police that he murdered iiis wife, Karle Wynekoop attempted to re-enact the crime, hut made so many mistakes that lie was forced to repudiate his own confession. However, he was returned to gaol as an accomplice in the crime.
