EXCITED WOOL MARKET
NAPIER CATALOGUES UKJ OFFERING EXPECTED Tine wool market was excited at Auckland to-day. Private advice states that a special line of lialfbred in the catalogue of Messrs Abraham ami Williams, Limited, topped the 25<i mark. This, of course, was an exceptional line, and does not refleet the tieud of the market, but early reports indicate that values were well up lu expectations. In the meantime, the catalogue for the Napier sale on Friday has closed. No advice has been received in Gisborne yet as to the total but the opinion was expressed to-day that it should not fall far short of the limit of 26.000 bales. Gisborne wool that left on Thursday was in time for inclusion, it was stated, and a shipment, from the Coast that arrived in Napier on Saturday also has been catalogued. Both the Gisborne and Hawke’s Bay clips are lighter than last season..
