RIFLE SHOOTING
GISBORNE DEFENCE CLUB NOVEMBER COMPETITION Two matches in the Gisborne Defence Rifle Club’s November Handicap competition were fired on Thursday and Saturday, one at 200yds and 300yds, and the other at 500yds and 600yds. In the first a possible of 50 was registered by E. Pirie at 200yds, and in the second match J. l'irie registered a splendid 50 at 500yds under difficult weather conditions. These matches completed the November competition, It. C. Miles heading the list with 186 (handicap 7), with Eric 1 irie second with 186 (handicap 7), and J. Pirie third, also with 186 (handicap 4).
