ANOTHER PROTEST
REDUCTION OF RELIEF (Per Press Association.) STRATFORD, this day. A vigorous protest against the reduction of the unemployed relief pay was made by the Mayor, Mr. J. W. McMillan, in an address last- night. “In the past the position was bad enough, but since the Unemployment Board considered it better to give, the building subsidies, equivalent to a present, to people who could afford to build without assistance, it is inue.li worse,” ho said. “I do not know how the unfortunate people will hue now that theif allocation is being reduced in order to help those who do not need help.”
