SCOTLAND YARD’S NEW GAME
LONDON, Oct. 18. Scotland Yard has devised .a new game for its detective inspectors. .It is called “Keeping Off the Map.” The “map” is in a secret room at headquarters. It shows every highway and byway in London and every public and private house. Each morning the spots at which crimes have been committed during the preceding 24 hours are marked on the maps by small flags. At the end of each week, officers who have been unfortunate enough to get the most flags in their district are brought up on the carpet, hence their anxiety to “keep off tho map.”
