Temperatures at 9 o'clock were; Auckland and Gisborne 64 degrees, Tauranga 60, East Cape 55, Napier and Wellington 61. Rough seas were reported at Cape, Campbell and Tiritiri: elsewhere moderate or smooth. Last Night’s Forecast. An anticyclone of slight intensity is centred east of tho South Island, and covers tho Dominion. A westerly depression is located over the western Tasman. Winds; Moderate to strong, south-easterlies prevailing, but decreasing and gradually tending north-east. Seas: Rather rough between Kaikoura and the East Cape and in the South Taranaki Bight, but decreasing; elsewhere. smooth to moderate. Eastern Tasman: Moderate to fresh north-east to northerly winds ; seas, smooth_ to moderate. Weather: Cloudy, with light misty rain on parts of the east coast, and' some scattered showers also in the far north; otherwise fine temperatures. Cool to-night, but milder to-morrow.
