LEAGUE OF MOTHERS
MONTHLY MEETING The League of Mothers held its mooting of this year on Tuesday in the house of Mrs. •). Blair, one of the vice-presi-dents. No address was given at this meeting, as it was regarded as purely a social function at which the increasingly large number of members might become better acquainted; to facilitate this each wore a neat card bearing her name. The usual form ol the meeting was conducted indoors. Mrs. Quigley, the president, read a Christinas message, and Mrs. Meredith gave a reading from the Scriptures. An invitation was received from the Holy Trinity Mothers’ Union to attend a garden party in the vicarage grounds. The hostess then accompanied her guests to the garden, where seats had been arranged beneath the trees and toys were produced to amuse the children. A delicious afternoon tea was served, and an amusing competition, won by Mesdnmes Ritchie and Moir, brought the afternoon to a close. Mrs. Quigley, on behalf of league members, thanked Mrs. Blair for a most delightful afternoon.
