HUNT FOR TREASURE
£7,500,000 CLAIMED LONDON, Nov. 12. Treasure amounting to £7,300,000 in gold bars, which has been at the bottom of the Baltic for 150 years, is being claimed by three countries — Great Britain, Russia arid Estonia. The t reasure, which belonged to the Russian Government, was shipped to France in 1783 in a British ship, the Britannia, which was wrecked off the Estonian Island of Ocscl. Numerous attempts to recover the gold failed, but. the Estonian Salvage Company, equipped with latest devices, are preparing to recover the lost treasure.
