A six-roomed dwelling in Feathcrston, owned by Mrs. R. Miles, of Hamilton, and occupied by Mr. A. Mellish, was totally destroyed by lire. Although 200 married men in Hamilton have been notified of the work made available in the district by the Public Works Department, only lb have so far taken advantage of the offer. Tho married men’s camps are situated at Ruakiwi in the Raglan district.
