ANGLICAN CHURCH FAIR (Herald Correspondent.) All roads led to Patutahi Hall yesterday afternoon, the occasion being a bazaar and flower show organised by the parishioners of St. George’s Anglican Church in aid of the- parish funds. The worthiness of the cause attracted a large attendance of the public, and ideal weather prevailed. The. general arrangements were in the hands of a strong committee under the joint secretaryships of MesdameG 0. Thodey and G. V.' Smith, who were ably assisted by Miss J. Picken, The following were the stallholders:--Novelty stall, Mesdames J. J. East and IT." Habgood; ice cream. Miss Iris Speight; sweets and cakes, Mrs. Owen Williams, and Misses) M. Bilham, A. and L. Williams; produce, Mr. and Mrs. H. White and Mrs. Humphreys; bran (fob, Mrs. and Misses Richardson. Afternoon tea was served in an adjoining room on tables gay with pink and mauve sweet peas and ctatmint. The following were the winners o! various competitions :—Live rooster, Airs, ; J., Bast. Doll in cradle, Mr. Henry i gjullooly, Ormond. Iced cake: Alias j The judges of the floral sections were Mesdames It. Gordon and 1 <J. Monckton, who commented most favorably upon the display. The original color schemes in some of the adult decorative classes called for special praise, the standard generally being high. In t*fie children's
section much thought and caro had evidently been displayed, commendable results being achieved. The following is the prize list: —Bowl of flowers suitable for dinner table (17 entries). —Mrs. T.
