START DELAYED
ULM’S TASMAN FLIGHT AWAITING GOOD WEATHER (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Advice has been received by the 'Vacuum Oil Company that Air'Charles Ulm cannot now leave to-morrow, bill will leave on the first favorable opportunity, depending on the weather. Mr Ulm will almost certainly land at Now Plymouth. Given even reasonable weather conditions, the Faith in Australia is expected to put tip fast time crossing the Thsiuiui, for the cruising speed is about lO'.i miles an hour and the machine has readied a speed of 12(i miles 'per hour. The enormous petrol carrying capacity makes the Faith in Australia far more independent of weather conditions than most aeroplanes of its .type, for the I-’.lO gallons which can bo carried arc sufficient, to enable a double Tasman crossing to be made without; refuelling.
