The most important harbor work now in hand in Napier is that of re-despen-ing the navigable water in the inner harbor, and last month £856 7s 4d was expended in this direction. Mr William Crawford, one of the pioneer settlers of North Auckland, has died, aged 88. For many years Mr Crawford was farming in the Maungakaramea district.
