FANCY DRESS BALL

TE KARAKA SCHOOL SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION The primary department of Te Karaka District High School held its annual fancy dress ball in the Waikohu Hall last Friday, and ; the function went off with its usual success. The members of the school committee had spared no pains to promote the children’s happiness, and the efforts were ably seconded by a group of ladies who made - themselves responsible for the catering. Music was supplied by Mrs. Goldsmith and Mr. H. Tempane, and Mr. Earnshaw made an excellent M.C.

The fancy dress costumes showed that much trouble and skill had been used t'o make the very pretty spectacle presented by the large and happy gathering of children.
