WIN FOR AUSTRALIANS MERRITT’S GOOD DISPLAY (Received Nov. 23, 2 pan.) LONDON, Nov. 22. The Australian league team defeated London 1 lighfield,- 20—5, after leading 10—2 at hall'tirue. The New Zealander, \V. E. Merritt, once made a great effort along the touch lino, but was tackled into touch. On another occasion, the New Zealander came right across from the opposite wing and was dragged down in the goal-mouth by Gardner, who made a 60yds run.
