PRICES STILL FIRMER
MELBOURNE WOOL SALE JAPAN BUYS HEAVILY . A (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received Nov. 3, 11 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Nov. 3. The wool sales showed a further hardening tendency in prices. Competition was exceptionally keen in the comeback and crossbred section, practically all being taken by Japan at prices equal to the highest point of the season. Approximately 96 per cent, -of the 8228 bales offered was sold. The best price of the day was 23d per lb for merino.
