A DASHING DOBBIN
LONDON, Oct. 26. Pursued by bargees who tried in vain to lassoo it, an eight-year-old gelding swam 20 miles down tiio River Stour, in Kent, and reached the open sea, where it was chased by men in boats until it was lost in the darkness. Next morning it was found standing in shallow water, and was forced ashore. It galloped three miles along the shore before it was caught.
