YOUNG MAN GAOLED
MANIPULATION OF. METERS (Pur Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. An employee of the municipal electricity department, Thomas James Gordon, 32; a. married, man, admitted before the magistrate, Mr. E. D. Mosley, to-day the theft of £37 between April and October, 1933, through the manipulation of meter accounts, and was sentenced to one month’s hard labor. The police stated that the accused was guilty of incorrect reading of meters in 110 cases. Restitution had been made.
