MARRIED MAN’S SUICIDE
STATE OF DEPRESSION (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, last night. A verdict of suicide while iu a depressed state of mind was returned by the coroner, Mr E. D. Mosley, S.M., at the inquest into the death of John Henry Christopher Thacker, 43, a married mail, residing at No. 127 St. Andrew’s square, Christchurch. It was stated that Thacker had been in ill-health for some time, He was found this morning in the washhouse at his home alongside a gas copper, with the gas turned, on. Two doctors, tried artificial respiration without success.
