WAIKOA LICENSES AUTHORITY’S DECISIONS The following decisions of the No. 4 District Transport Licensing Authority in respect of applications for goods transport licenses heard at the sitting of tlie Licensing Authority in Wairoa on September 11 have been released : E. J. Dobbie, Waikokopu.—As the applicant stated he did not wish to operate beyond Nuhaka, the area operated over did not embrace any highways, and in the circumstances a license was not required Mrs. J. liarvey, Omahanui, Wairoa.— A continuous goods service license to operate one vehicle over highway Nos. 27 and 337, Wairoa-Waikaremoana, as far as Olinka turn-off from Wairoa, and No. 15 between Wairoa and Hastings. R. 0.. Goldstone, Wairoa.—A continuous goods service license to operate one vehicle in Wairoa County ; also over highway No. 15 between Wairoa and Hastings, and over highways within nil area of 10 miles radius around Hastings borough, subject to restriction as follows : The licensee is allowed to pick up goods in Wairoa County only to set down outside that area, and is allowed to pick up goods outside Wairoa County for delivering in Wairoa County only. 0. Boyd, Nuhaka.—A continuous goods service for two vehicles to operate in Wairoa County; .also over No. 15 highway, between Wairoa and Gisborne and Wairoa and Hastings, and over an area embracing highways radiating from Gisborne and from blastings for not more than 10 miles along same, subject to the restriction that the licensee is allowed to pick up goods in Wairoa County only to set down outside that area, and is allowed to pick up goods outside Wairoa County for delivery to that county only. Mrs. C. Mildon, Wairoa. —A continuous goods service license to operate one vehicle in Wairoa County; also over highway No. 15 between Wairoa and Hastings and oyer highways embraced by a 10-mile radius around" Hastings borough, subject to restrictions as follows; The licensee is allowed to pick up goods in Wairoa County to set down outside that area, and is allowed to pick up goods outside the Wairoa County for delivery to that county only. Messrs. Hayden and Ellison, Wairoa. — A continuous goods sendee license to operate one vehicle over highways Nos. 338, 27, and 337 between Ruakituri and Wairoa, and also a seasonal goods service license between October 1 and May 31, to operate one vehicle over highways 338 and 27 from Ruakituri to Gisborne, via Tiniroto, subect to restrictions as follow : The licensee is not allowed to pick up goods between three miles Gisborne side of Cook County boundary and C.isliorne, to set down between those two points either on the inward or outward journey. Bluck, Nuhaka.—A seasonal goods service license to operate three vehicles over highway No. 15 between Nuhaka and Gisborne, and Nuhaka and Hastings; also over highways radiating from Gisborne, from Wairoa, and from Hastings, limited to 10 miles from the borough boundaries, along highways, subject to restrictions as follow: The licenseo is not allowed to pick up goods south of Waikari River to set down south of that point. N. Bluck, Nuhaka. —A continuous goods service license to operate two vehicles over highway No. 15 between Nuhaka and Hastings, and Nuhaka and Gisborne; also over highways radiating

from Qisboino, Wairoa and Hastings for not more than 10 miles along these highways subject to the following restriction : The licensee is not allowed to pick up goods south of Waikari River to set down south of that point. Habgood, North Clyde, Wairoa. —A continuous goods service license to operate two vehicles in Wairoa County, also over highway No. 15 between Wairoa and Hastings, and over highways within an area of 10 miles radius around Hastings borough subject to restriction as follows: The licensee is not allowed to pick up goods south of Waikari River to set down south of that point.

T. 11. Hall, jun., Wairoa. —A continuous goods service license to operate one vehicle over highways Nos. 27 and 387, Wairoa-Waikaremoana, as far ns Mitchell’s turn-off.

Svensen, Frasertown. —A continuous goods service license to operate two vehicles in Wairoa, limited as far as Whakaki on the Wairoa-Gisborne highway; also over highway No, 15 between Wairoa and Hastings, and over an area of 10-mile radius around Hastings, subject to restriction as below; The licensee is not allowed to pick up goods within the 10-mile radius area around Hastings to set down within that area.
