YOUNG MAN GAOLED
NOT WORTH A CHANCE (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Impugned by the probation ofiicer as not worth another chance, Neville Eric Watkins, 21, a salesman, was to-day sentenced by Mr. E. Page, S.M., to six months’ imprisonment for the theft of a motor tyre. Another charge had relation to the conversion of a motor cycle, and in regard to this the police said Watkins hud approached a man named Lucchesi, representing himself as a prospective buyer, and was given permission to ride the machine round the block. However, he rode it to Levin and returned it only after police inquiries were started. On this and another charge ho was ordered to come up for sentence if called on within two years.
