Sir Charles Kingsford Smith stated that lie will compete in the Melbourne centenary race, and then will renounce long-distance flying. lie did not regard flying to New £ealarid as long-distance Dying, as the journey could be made by daylight. Ho hoped to leave for New Zealand early in January.
