MORE FUNDS NEEDED
BYRD EXPEDITION APPEAL FOR ASSISTANCE (Received Sc'pt. 29, 11 a.m.) MONTREAL, Sept. 25. A Boston message says lack of the necessary funds to purchase things vital to the safety of his men is proving a serious hindrance to his Antarctic, expedition, Admiral Richard Byrd said. lie required a few thousands more dollars, otherwise “‘we will not go.” Despite this, lie said lie was confident that the money would be raised and the present plans carried out.
