PROTECTING MOTORISTS
A resolution designed to exempt private motorists from liability for injury to other persons carried in their cars was passed at the half-yearly conference of Franklin chambers ol commerce held 1 tit Pukekohe, The resolution asks the Minister of Justice to bring down legislation to.provide that passengers ride in private cars at, their own risk, the vicarious liability that at present attaches to the driver to be removed. The conference, also decided to support the movement for more severe measures in dealing with ear thieves.
