STRIKE ABANDONED
RAND GOLD MINERS CAPETOWN, Sept. 27. The executive of the Miners’ Union assured the Chamber of Mines that it will not sanction a strike until meetings have decided the procedure for submission of representations "to managers regarding the grievances. The chamber agreed that. there should be no victimisation or enforcement of 10 days’ penalty for each day lost, whereupon the strike wad' abandoned.
