ENGLISH SHORTHORNS FAMOUS HERD SOLD (Received Sept. 27, 2 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 20. Sir (Joiner Berry’s famous herd of beef Short horns was auctioned lit Pendley farm, ,and revealed an astonishing fall in prices, compared with 1630. Sixty-two lots totalled 2303 guineas, the highest price being 200 guineas for the leader of the herd, Pendley Lord Ramsdon, which was sold to go to Australia. Its sire, Easildon Kosicnician, was sold to Australia in lit.lt) for 2000 guineas. Many magnificent cows and heifers were sold at 10 and L" guineas apiece, of which some were bought for the King’s herd at Windsor.
