£20,000 HAUL
MASK RAID BY GANG CENTRE OF BIG CITY .ST. PAUL (Minnesota), Sept. 11. The sum of £20,000 in currency, held in two safes, was_cooily “lifted” by eight masked bandits from a bullion truck on a train waiting at Central Station here.
People came and went during the raid, not knowing .what was afoot. The bandits were concealed in a subway beneath the truck, watching the movements, and the moment tho money was transferred to the train they appeared. Quietly donning their masks, they ordered two attendants to face a wall, lifted the two safes into their car, and drove away, firing two shots in the air as they went.
The license plates of the car were reversed, so that the attendants could not read them.
