£SOOO CLAIMED
LOSS OF RACEHORSE NEW ZEALAND PURCHASE SYDNEY, Sept. 26. Damages of £SOOO are being claimed in the Supreme Court by George Bell, of Bandwick, from Herbert S. Thompson and S. Bradford, following the death of the thoroughbred mare, Sundear, while giving birth to a foal to Heroic at Thompson’s stud farm at Tarwin Park.
Readford is an employee at the farm. Bell stated Unit he bought Sundear in New Zealand for a little more than £2OO. Tie claimed that the mare died from inattention and that the foal was mutilated and killed during birth. He therefore lost both mare and foal, the fatter being valued at £450. The case was adjourned.
