FORTNIGHT! jY MEETING ' :V 1 The fortnightly meeting of the Foresters’ Lodge was held last night at the Masonic Hall. Bro. J. Williamson presiding over a fair attendance The chief ranger opened the court with the new ritual, and the officers earned out the work in au. improved manner. The woodward’s report on the sick roll was responded to by Bro. S. Bruce, the senior woodward. P.C.B. Bro. C. Pryce, commented on the letter received from Bro. G. Aspland, late of this court, now residing in Auckland, and it was unanimously agreed to write to Bro. Aspland congratulating him on securing a permanent position on the Auckland Harboi Board. Several brethren expressed then regret that Bro. A. Leckic, late of Gis.borne, and now of Christchurch, was having an unfortunate run of sickness in his family, Mrs. Leckie being some time in the hospital and Bro. Leckie off duty for a considerable time.

'fhe delegates, Bros. C. S. Bruce and V. Venables, reported that they had attended the friendly society’s conlerenoe, and gave an account of the proceedings. Bro. Bruce stated that he had attended the conference between friendly societies and the Hospital Board,’ and that the result of that meeting would be received from the board shortly. Bro. W. J. Attwood spoke at length on matters appertaining to juniors, and was responded to by Bro. C. S. Bruce. The chief ranger stated that it was very pleasing to see some of the new members attending so regularly. Several matters arising out of the minutes of the previous meeting were deferred until next meeting for further discussion. A new brother was proposed ahd seconded, and the meeting dosed with the usual honors to the chair.
