The weekly meeting of the Wairoa Rugby sub-Union was held on Monday evening, the cliairpran, Mr. A. G. Nolan, presiding. There were present also Messrs. R. Goodley, J. T. Robson, G. Williamson, J, McGregor, P. A. Milne, T. French, A. J. Anderson, JH. Svensen, F.. Foley, and 11. Millar, lion, secretary. It was resolved to forward a letter to the Wellington Rugby Union thanking it for sending a team to Wairoa, and congratulating the union on the team’s display. Accounts amounting to £32 ss, were passed for payment. In regard to tire match with the East Coast team, it was decided to- forward a letter of thanks to the East Coast Rugby Union for the courtesy shown, to the Wairoa team during its visit to ,J’okomaiu Bay for tile Barry Cup, and congratulations were extended to Mr. French on the Wairoa team's victory. Tt was decided also that a letter of thanks should bo forwarded to Mcsdames Harris and Ilrodie for hospitality shown to the team at To Puka Hotel. Tt was decided that tho toam to play Poverty Bay at Gisborne on Saturday should .leave Wairoa, or) Saturday and return the samo day, under the management of Mr. G. Williamson. Transport arrangements wore left in the hands of Messrs. Williamson and French. Tho following junior fixtures for Saturday were announced: —United v. Whakaki, Wairoa No. 2 ground, 2.30 p.m.; Pirates v. Old Boys, Wairoa No. 1 ground, 2.30 pm. MATCHES AT THE OVAL REFEREES FOR SATURDAY . The following appointments have been made by the Poverty Bay Rugby Referees’ Association to control the matches at tho Oval on Saturday: Tokomaru Bay juniors v. Marist third grade. No. 1 ground, 1.15 p.m., Mr. F Bennett. Wairoa District High School v. To Karaka District High School, No, 3 ground, 1.15 p.m., Mr. A. Worthington. Wairoa district v. Poverty Bay primary schools, No. 2 ground, 1.30 p.m., Mr. W. McKeague.
