“New Zealnd obligations in London are being met in sterling,” declared the acting-Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates, in an address at Opawa, Christchurch. “The Government considers that not only is this a move for stability of faith in monetary matters so necessary for the world to-day, but it is the only sound policy for New Zealand to pursue unless some agreement can be come to with the parties concerned;.”
