CLIMBER INJURED
FALL ON FOX GLACIER Thomas Herbert Davey, 43, of Christchurch, was admitted to the. Westland Hospital with his left, arm fractured in three places, a double fracture of the jaw, and a bruised chest, and suffering from shock. Mr. Davey, with two companions, ascended the Fox Glacier, South Westland, and at the Pinnacles the guide advised him to wait while he took the others to another side. Mr. Davey. however, went on, but slipped and fell 10ft. on his left arm and head.
An operation was performed at the hospital, and he is progressing favorably.
