PROPOSED COMMISSION EARLY ANNOUNCEMENT , (Per Press Association.) 1 WELLINGTON, last night. The Minister for Internal Affairs has announced that, as soon as the Kt. Hon. G. W. Forbes returns, the personnel of the Local Government Oo’rn'mis.siou promised by Mr. Forbes in February, .IJ >‘t 1, will be announced. No official information regarding the commission is available, but it is i learned authoritatively that the chairman will he a (magistrate, with not more than four other members. The commission' will investigate the finances and administration only of counties and rural districts within county areas, not touching municipalities or boroughs.
