UNEXPECTED HITCH
BRASS BAND CONTEST DISTRIBUTION OE PRO PITS (Per Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., this day. Negotiations with the local committee and the New Zealand Brass Bauds' Association for conducting the next Dominion contest, here in February have resulted in a hitch over the distribution of profits. The local coifimittee decided last evening that unless its decision regarding distribution was accepted, it will not conduct the contest.
The assoeiation intimated that the iirst charge on the prolits should be £6O for {lie association as it contest fee, plus it further 10 per cent, of all prolits. Various other minor recommendations were received.
After it discussion, it was decided to olfer the association 10 per cent, of flic profits, with it maximum of £SO, or no contest.
