A COAST WEDDING

A wedding of considerable interest- to the residents of the Coast and ot Hawke’s Bay was solemnised last Thursday evening in the Hauiti Anglican Church when Miss Mary Rangiuia and the Rev. R. Rnngiaho were united in the bonds of matrimony, the officiating ministers being the Revs. W. HawJuiu and \V. Moana. The bride, who was given away by her uncle, the Rev. P. Rangi, was charmingly gowned in white satin, made on long flowing lines. The- bodice ltillness was ruched into a pastron in the front and the sleeves were long and tightly fitting, ending in points over the wrists. A coronet of orange blossoms held a long tutle veil, and a bouquet of daffodils and cyclamen, mingled with asparagus fern, completed a charming toilette. The bridesmaids were Misses K. Rangiuia, chief, H. Moore, and JJ. Temple. The two firstmentioned were gowned alike in primrose satin, with apple green lace capes, and silk crinoline hats to tone, and the lastmcntioned wore rose pink. Little Miss Blanche Burgess was a flower girl, wearing a Kate Green way frock in pink taffeta. All the maids carried bouquets ot freesias and primroses. The best man was Mr. L. Rangi, and the groomsmen Messrs. J. Tranor and B. King. A wonderful repast had been prepared in the Hauiti ilall, where afterwards dancing was indulged in to the early hours.

The young couple later left tor Porangsuhau, where the bridegroom is stationed.
